First Workshop on Actinide Target Development

April 27-29, 2006
Vancouver, British Columbia

TRIUMF's ISAC-II building

The First Workshop on Actinide Target Development (WATD) was held April 27-29, 2006 at TRIUMF in Vancouver, British Columbia. More than forty people attended, representing institutions in Canada, the United States, France, Italy and Switzerland. Twelve talks were presented and several hours devoted to directed discussions of issues relevant to actinide target development. It was agreed, as a community, to pursue future meetings on the topic.

An additional symposium on actinide target development at TRIUMF's ISAC facility preceded the workshop on April 26, 2006. Discussions at that symposium, and at the workshop as a whole, will help shape TRIUMF's plans for future target development.
